About Tim

- Tim @ Inventive Pictures
Inventive Pictures is owned by Tim Tyler.
Tim started shooting film in Rhode Island as a youngster, making short Super-8 and 16mm movies with his brothers, friends and schoolmates.
At twenty he moved to New York City and worked as a location assistant on studio feature films and television shows throughout the late 80′s, learning the ropes from some of Hollywood’s greatest producers and crews.
In 1991 Tim relocated to Seattle and started shooting shorts films, independent features and music videos.
Tim took a hiatus from film production from 1995-2002 to run a small web development company, building complex web applications for clients, and creating the Cinematography.com business which he continues to own and operate.
Tim has shot several award winning projects, including short films for the Seattle International Film Festival. A 2008 PBS documentary Tim shot for WNET was nominated for a national Emmy award.
