In the Spring and Summer of 2007, Inventive Pictures worked with Seattle media design company POP! to produce the videos that would be used to introduce Amazon's first ever product, the Kindle E-book Reader.
With a relatively small crew, we shot in 720p 30 fps using the Panasonic HVX200 in practical locations around Seattle, including the SeaTac Airport terminal and the brand new Sculpture Park downtown.
Amazon's creative team and director Joel Eby of POP! called for a naturalistic approach to the spot's photography. Almost all of the location shots in the video were hand-held by DP Tim Tyler.
The green screen sessions with actor Kevin Pitman and the product shots were photographed at Victory Studios.
